Larry Carlton is an American jazz fusion, pop, rock, guitarist and singer, dividing his recording time between solo recordings and session appearances with various well-known bands. Over his career, Carlton has won three Grammys for his performances and compositions, including the theme music for the hit television series, "Hill Street Blues" (1981). Over the years, Carlton has worked with artists such as Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Herb Alpert, Quincy Jones, Bobby Bland, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt.
